Abstract Shallot ( Allium ascolonicum L), belonging to the genus are propagated vegetatively through layered bulbs. This research aimed improve quality of shallots by eliminating OYDV, SLDV viruses meristematic tissue combined with antiviral Ribavirin. The was conducted in IVEGRI Tissue Culture Laboratory from April August 2018. Research materials included infected shallot bulbs Bima Brebes variety which were previously confirmed DAS ELISA serology test. Meristematic tissues cultured on MS + vitamin, supplement media (sucrose 30 gL −1 Myo inositol 100 mgL CaP 2 NAA 0.15 Kinetin GA3 0.1 Gel gro 2gL , pH 5.7). A Completely Randomized Design ten replications applied for combinations between Ribavirin concentrations i.e., 0.5,10,15, 20, and explant size including (0.5 mm) shoot tip (2.5 mm). results obtained visual observation showed that additional affected percentage growth development plantlets. Statistical analysis there no significant interactions treatments. Elisa test higher concentration lower virus infection.
